Graffiti-style sign on a brick wall reads 'ACCESS IN ST NEOTS ON TOUR', with the 'A' stylized as a stick figure and a directional arrow under 'ON TOUR' pointing to the right.

Access in St Neots On Tour

Follow me on my travels to different locations across the UK. I vlog my time there to show what disabled access, particularly wheelchair access is like.

Keswick, Cumbria

Having never been to the Lake District before, I was dubious about how accessible it would be. It’s known for its beautiful scenery, popular with walkers, tourists and the outdoorsy type of people. Being a wheelchair user, the great outdoors is not usually my best friend. I don’t think the world has adapted quite that much for outdoor pursuits and wheelie thrill seekers yet. Keswick however, despite being fairly inaccessible, surprised me. The people were super lovely, the shops that I could get into were fab and I’d most definitely go back!

A very basic guide to which shops and services have steps or level access. This is as of April 2026, from a wheelchair user's point of view. If any information is incorrect, please let us know.
